Cancellation & refund policy.

Plain rules: cancel more than two hours ahead for a full refund. We never keep a statutory notarial fee for a notarization that didn’t happen.

Effective July 14, 2026. This policy applies to appointments booked through NotaryNow DFW.

Before any payment

The online calculator provides an estimate, not a final invoice. We confirm the final itemized total with you — including any separate travel, urgency, after-hours, access, witness, or convenience charges — before your appointment is confirmed and before any payment is collected. Availability is not guaranteed until we confirm your appointment.

Customer cancellations

  • More than 2 hours before the scheduled arrival window: full refund of any amount paid.
  • Within 2 hours of the scheduled arrival window, or after a notary is en route: the travel/dispatch portion may be retained; statutory notarial-act fees are refunded because no notarization occurred.
  • No-show at the appointment (signer unavailable, no valid ID, signer unable or unwilling to sign): the travel/dispatch portion may be retained. We will always attempt to reach you before treating an appointment as a no-show.

If we can’t complete the notarization

If no notary is available, if we cancel, or if the notarization cannot legally be completed for a reason we should have caught during confirmation, you receive a full refund. If a notarization cannot be completed for legal reasons outside anyone’s control at the appointment (for example, a signer without acceptable identification), the travel portion may still apply because the trip was made.

How refunds are issued

Refunds are issued to the original payment method, normally within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. We never retain a statutory notarial-act fee for a notarization that did not occur.

Disputes

If anything about your charge looks wrong, contact us first at our contact page or (214) 639-6122 — we resolve most billing questions the same day.
